The objective of the Belgian Plant Biotechnology Association (bpbA) is to promote fundamental research and the application of Plant Biotechnology and Tissue Culture.

The society was founded in 2007 as the extention and continuation of the former Belgian Plant Tissue Culture Group (BPTCG) and is targetting members mainly working in research institutes, universities and companies in the area of plant multiplication and plant breeding.
